Just of recent i link my blog address to my Custom Domain making use of domainking.com.ng .I thought about it ,that must upcoming bloggers might find it difficult to link their blog address to a custom one. e.g from blogspot.com to a .com domain.So i decide to share the step with you guys.
First you must have an account with Domain king ,and also have a already purchase and active domain name... If you don't have one click here >> Domainking ng. to buy one.
How to link your custom domain to your blogger site
->> Login to your domain king account and click on My domain
->> Click the small arrow beside the domain name you wish to link to your blog ,as seen in the picture below.
->>Now scroll down and click on the "DKNG
DNS & Free Email Panel" button.
->> Now click on "MANAGE DNS RECORD" after that click on CONTINUE TO DNS PANEL.
->> Now click on "A Record " button and click on Add "A Record ". Leave the "Host Name" field
empty as you see it.
=> Enter this numbers 216.239.32.21 in the
"Destination IPv4 Address" field,and click on "Add Record" again add another one for => 216.239.34.21 ,=>216.239.36.21 ,and => 216.239.38.21 ,by now you should have four (4) A Record.
->>Now click on the CName record ,click on Add CName Record button.=> Now write www in the "Host Name"
field.=> And write " ghs.google.com" in the Value field. Make sure you select the second option,because this field have to field select the second one and tick the check box.
->> Now click on add ARecod tab..open a new tab and go to your Blogger Dashboard,=> click on SETTINGS >> BASIC >> PUBLISHING >> click on SET UP A THIRD PARTY URL FOR YOUR BLOG.
->> Now enter the custom domain name you want to redirect your blog to,and click save you will see an error message.. Note the second CName record at the error page...The fist one is the LABEL and the second is TARGET.
->> Now switch back to Domain king page ,click on CName record >> Click Add CName record.. Now copy the label error from your blogger dashboard and paste it in "HOST NAME " field.
->>Now copy the target error code from your blogger dashboard and paste it in the " Value " which is the second option.Now click on Add CName record...
->> After like about ten minutes go back to your blogger dashboard and try save the name again.. If it save waooo you are done...but if otherwise wait a few more minutes before saving again..
After saving it correctly click on Edit and thick the redirect option and save.. By now your blog is ready to be access through the custom domain address... If you face any challenges while doing this do contact me... Safe .
